Timbers Metropolitan District Revenue
The District collects revenue through property taxes. These property taxes are used to support District debt, capital improvements, operations and maintenance.
The District Board determines a mill levy (or a tax rate) to be collected from residents of the District on an annual basis. One mill is one dollar per $1,000 dollars of assessed value.
The District has voter approval to collect up to 10 mills for the purpose of operations and maintenance and up to 50 mills for the repayment of debt.
For the year 2025, the Board of Directors has determined to collect 5 mills for the General Fund (O&M) and 25 mills for the Debt Service Fund. Therefore, a total collection of 30 mills for Timbers Metropolitan District in the year 2025.
For the years 2023 and 2024 (taxes collected in 2024 & 2025) the state legislature approved a reduction of $55,000 from the actual value of your home. They also adjusted the residential assessment rate to 6.7%.
